Since I am singing I am searching for “my” voice, that individual, natural sound, which enables me to elaborate musical material.

There are many different techniques generally known being taught, and the deployment of gimmickry making all material singable seems tempting and at times certainly expedient.

David isn’t that much into gimmickry. Peeled like an onion, he is in search of the singer’s personal voice without abstracting away from classic bel canto technique.

I appreciate David’s tenacity and accurate ear. In a lesson with David you can’t lean back. You are being challenged and inspired in the same time.
